Mitsuaki Sora was born in Hiroshima in 1933. He graduated from the renowned Tama College of Fine Arts. The artist is a well-known sculptor specialized in stone sculptures. His works in stone look round-shaped like the elements of his woodblock prints. He started printmaking in the 1960s.
Mitsuaki Sora prints are always colorful - but only the elements colored against a white background. The printing method is the Japanese woodblock print. Editions are usually around 100, limited, numbered and signed by the artist.
The artist is represented by the renowned Yoseido Gallery and the Tolman Collection, both in Tokyo.
