Daniel Cytron graduated from the Otis Art Institute in Los Angeles in 1968. He worked briefly as a draftsman for the architect Richard Neutra. From 1968-1971, he was a studio assistant to Sam Francis. He has since devoted his time to his own art, and continues to reside in California. Cytron is best known for painting colorful, geometric abstractions.
Cytron’s work has been featured in many one-man exhibitions including at the David Findlay Galleries in New York and the Molly Barnes Gallery in Los Angeles. His museum exhibitions include the venues of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the San Jose Institute of Contemporary Art, and the Santa Barbara Museum of Art.
